* If you're looking for a luxury car with a big dose of style and efficiency but a very small carbon footprint, the 2014 Lexus CT 200h tops a very short list. Source: KBB.com
* Excellent fuel economy; handles well for a hybrid; versatility provided by the CT 200h's hatchback design. Source: Edmunds
* Experience the CT, a hybrid hatchback offering from Lexus. Boasting a sculpted shape which improves aerodynamic relevance, the CT also features a rear spoiler and a moonroof. The body rests on 17 inch x 7.0 inch aluminum wheels. You can also keep every mile interesting with the CT F SPORT. Far from shy, the F SPORT lets you take on the road with its aggressive grille, sculpted front fascia and headlamps. The CT also features variable intermittent washer-activated windshield wipers, as well as integrated fog lamps to keep visibility clear on rainy days. The NuLuxe seat upholstery offers a supple texture and a luxurious look, while boasting a manufacturing process which is more environmentally friendly than other synthetic leather. The driver's seat features 10-way power seats which include lumbar support and a 4-way front passenger's seat. The CT takes your music to a new level with the world's first automotive speakers constructed from bamboo opal, which not only makes them lighter, it also improves the sound. With the available 10-speaker system, sound quality is taken to the next level thanks to a digital Class-D amplifier. Additionally, a USB and auxiliary port allow for an MP3 player to be connected. A push button start fires up the 1.8L DOHC EFI 16-valve I4 Atkinson-cycle hybrid engine. The CT is capable of a combined 42 MPG. The drivetrain features an electronically controlled continuously variable transmission. A traction control system and a 4-wheel anti-lock brake system will keep you in control across varying road conditions and electric power steering keeps your driving experience as comfortable as possible. Safety features include an eight airbag setup which includes front passenger knee airbags, front side and side-curtain airbags for front and outboard rear occupants. Finally, Child Restraint Seat (CRS) tether anchor brackets are available for all rear seating permissions, to keep the children safe and secure. Source: The Manufacturer Summary

Driving this car is nothing but pure fun! Gas mileage is spectacular. We have been on so many trips since I purchased the car... it is ridiculous.
  • The sporty little hybrid...

We were determined to get a hybrid since both my husband and I commute 80-100 miles per day. We liked the practicality, fuel efficiency, and reliability of the Prius, but didn't like the way it drove and didn't want the Prius stigma. In comes our 2013 Lexus CT200h! It looks tremendously better, has a sporty feel to the driving dynamics, and feels a bit higher quality than its Toyota counterpart. It's a good compromise for someone who wants the practicality of a hybrid, but isn't quite sold on it. There are a few downsides. The gas mileage isn't as great as we'd hoped, but we won't really complain considering the 38-40mpg is much better than the 15mpg we were getting in our previous car. It feels higher quality than the Toyotas, but isn't quite on par with other Lexus models. The leather isn't real leather, the headliner will give you rug burn if you're not careful, there are no rear cupholders or A/C vents, and rear legroom leaves much to be desired. Also, it isn't the most comfortable ride nor is it easy to get in and out of. That being said, it's not all bad by any means. It's never had a mechanical issue (other than burning oil every now and then, but that's common for these cars), the sound system is awesome, it inspires confidence in the corners, there's not a lot of power but it does come on fast, the hatchback and folding seats are practical and easy to use, and it has a host of usable standard features. In short, it is a good commuter car. It saves money on gas, drives great, and will never fail to get you where you need to go.
  • happened upon this by mistake and glad I did

I drive 135 miles a day round trip 4 days a week to work. This little car has been treating me from 47-51 mpg every time I fill it. I drive all highway and if I by chance get stuck in traffic the mpg goes up. I have always had a Toyota or Honda as a daily commute car and I was ready to get something a bit nicer. My last 2002 Toyota solara convertible was ageing and the v-6 was thirsty for my commute. I started looking at newer prius and found them so ugly. I happened to stumble across the Lexus version and so glad I did. I love everything about it. Style, comfort, ride, interior. I read some professional reviews and was a bit skeptical, however the readers reviews really made up my mind. Yes its has a slow pick up (its a hybrid and pretty much a known issue) ride a bit bumpy, yes it rides on 17" low profile tires, but for me it is a cream puff to my old corolla and solara. If I want to go fast and waste gas I'll get in my vette or truck but for everyday I love this thing.
